This is Part 2 of our arrangement of Psalm 22. For the full effect those following along may wish to return to last week’s post to review (and perhaps re-sing) Part 1. This psalm is about Jesus on the Cross—and about his ultimate victory for us. It mixes lament with celebration. I hope the combination of tunes will help you feel that mix of emotion as it leads from great anguish to the triumph of the Crucified.
This Psalm would serve well as home preparation for a Communion Sunday, or for an extended Communion Service or during a Good Friday service.
